CCS Child Nutrition Services team is pleased to be serving as a USDA Summer Food Service Sponsor again during the summer of 2026.
We are partnering with USDA in a special program that allows us to deliver a week (5 days) of frozen meals in a bundle to children (18 yrs old and younger) that reside in rural areas. At this time, this program is only available to students that live in rural areas (designated by USDA https://www.fns.usda.gov/sfsp/rural-designation
)
and qualify for free school meals through direct certification. Only parents/guardians of students pre-determined to be eligible are invited to enroll in this program.
Approved households may receive a meal bundle for each child 18 yrs old and younger in the home. Each child's information must be included in this enrollment form.
The meal bundle will consist of a menu, frozen food items that require minimal cooking/preparation, cooking instructions, milk that requires refrigeration, and allergen information. Please see the picture below for a sample of the frozen meals bundles.
